Marco Grados

Associate Professor, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Dr. Grados was born in Peru and raised in Atlanta, GA. He attended college at Dartmouth and finished his BS and obtained his MD degree from Cayetano Heredia medical school in Lima, Peru. He completed an internal medicine internship and first-year of residency before switching to psychiatry at the Henry Ford Hospital Health System. He came to Baltimore in 1994 for a fellowship in Child Psychiatry at Hopkins, where he was chief resident. Dr. Grados' research interest is the in genetic epidemiology of pediatric obessive-compulsive disorder, Tourette syndrome and related disorders, with a focus on clinical phenotypes for biological research. His clinical activities include being clinical director for the Division of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, overseeing a 12-bed inpatient unit, a Day Hospital, and an outpatient clinic. His own clinical work focuses on the treatment of children with neuropsychiatric disorders at Hopkins as well as a general child psychiatry clinic for Latino families at Bayview.
