Career Path: Early in my medical education, I picked academic medicine as my career goal. As a youngster participating in various organizations, I enjoyed the experience of teaching others. During my work study positions as a college student, I found enjoyment in interacting with and helping patients. During research opportunities as a college and medical student, I developed a passion for scientific discovery.
Current Work: Each day I am inspired by the skills, talents, and achievements of the medical students; the drive and brilliance of my colleagues; the hope of making important discoveries that will affect patient care; but most of all, by the courage of the patients I see on rounds.
Meaningful Quotes: “Perseverance is the key note to success”. “Life is not a dress rehearsal” (this one I continue to attempt to grasp).
